Jena has been a vocal advocate for criminal justice reform for over a decade — not as an abstract policy position, but as someone who has seen the human cost of a broken system up close. She works with organizations focused on reentry support, sentencing reform, and the rights of incarcerated women and their families.

Her advocacy includes public speaking, legislative testimony, community organizing, and direct support for families navigating the system. She believes that justice is not a partisan issue — it is a human one.

Building pathways where none existed

Economic independence is not a luxury — it is a foundation. Jena works with organizations that provide women with access to financial education, business development resources, and the mentorship that changes trajectories.

She has partnered with community organizations, faith communities, and nonprofits to deliver workshops, mentorship programs, and direct support for women building their first businesses or returning to the workforce after major life transitions.

She works with faith communities and neighborhood organizations to build the kind of belonging that sustains people through hard seasons.

This work includes leadership development for community leaders, facilitation of difficult conversations, and the creation of spaces where women can be honest about what they are carrying.
